Parents' Day At Tadika Dunia Impian

Last Saturday, I attended the parents' day celebration at Tadika Dunia Impian (Kidz World Kindergarten) at Bukit Baru. Being a single with no children, I actually accompanied Siew Hong who was appointed by Madam Tsong as a judge for the activities of the event.

Opened early this year, the kindergarten was located very near to Calvary Care Home. I had driven past this kindergarten several months without knowing that it was runned by our church members.

When we stepped into this bungalow turned school, receiving us were the colourful banner and balloons.

On my left was a small swimming pool. If my parents had sent me to a kindergarten with this kind of wonderful facility when I was a child, now I would swim like a fish, not an ant.

The main organisers of the event were of course Mdm Tsong and her son Loke Yen.

Every corner of the kindergarten was decorated in a very attractive manner.

There were creative crafts everywhere. At first I thought pieces of mouth-watering cakes were going to be served. When I looked at the small table closer, lying on the paper plates were actually macaroni painted in different colours. According to Mdm Tsong, it was fried rice!

A disposable plastic glove was used to make a cow's breast. When it was pulled, drops of milk came out! This must be the only residential house in Malaysia which was keeping a milk cow...

Parents came with their children who were studying in Kidz World. At about 10.30am, the toddlers began to perform by singing and dancing.

They also showed their parents part of their daily lessons taught in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese by different teachers.

Parents were also invited to participate in games. One of the highlights was a contest in which the adults dressed up their little ones with colour papers. Then the children posed in front of the panel of judges to earn more marks.

The bravest one always attracted the most attention. Don't you think so?
